The Good Design Award has been a sole comprehensive design evaluation and commendation system in Japan since 1957. Numerous companies and designers from both inside and outside of Japan participate in this activity to enhance the industry or quality of life through design. Recipients of a Good Design Award are granted use of the G Mark symbol, which has been an emblem of good design for over half a century. The award organization is hosting a communication event in Shanghai on 21st April to introduce these awards where two of 2015 winners will be introducing their experience in Good Design as well.
